How can I make games in C ++

Programming games..how to start?

in addition to hustbaer / TGGC / hardware:

that i want to go into the game industry with the knowledge i have acquired.

Games programmer! = Games programmer. If you work / want to work at larger studios, you also specialize.

Your ambitions will also have an impact on your games if you are still testing / programming on your own ^^
You can see in a game whether value was placed on artificial intelligence, level design, hardware-intensive graphics ...

If C ++ and graphics are your ambitions ... very good.
Then forget about unity ^^ for now.
Start with more rudimentary things ... Learn to understand how the graphics pipeline of a modern graphics card works.
Get to grips with shaders ... hates that strapped, a short excursion to GPU kernel ... so shader programming without graphics output ... aka GPU acceleration of the "normal" programming logic ...

At the latest here you will notice whether you want more program logic or the optimization of the display (costly post-process effects -> lighting shadows etc) ...

Until then, simple C ++ and basic knowledge of the common low level graphics API's (Opengl / Vulkan and DirectX) are sufficient for programming.
With DirectX there is a short crash course in COM ...
In the end, this is easier to understand than complex 3D Environment Biblios aka Unity / Ogre / CryEngine ...

For shaders, you can even get by without C ++ at the beginning. Learn how to use Blender or another tool that can display your own meshes + own shaders. Worth gold for testing and prototyping!

If your ambitions are more logic ... then maybe neural networks are something to pounce on.

Ciao ...
