All models are made using the dropstitch process and have a double coating, which makes them extremely robust and stiff. The range is not large, but quite sophisticated and definitely not mass-produced. Which is the right Apollo SUP board for you?

At Apollo you get SUP boards from beginner level to advanced level. We have already devoted ourselves extensively to the brand's range and presented the results on our website. Here we give you a summary overview and show you which model is best for whom.

Apollo Tikki

About the Apollo Tikki

The Tikki is a very compact all-round SUP board. Compact because with its dimensions of 275 cm in length, 76 cm in width and 12 cm in thickness, it is a small representative of its class. As a result, it is a little less stable and resilient than the all-rounder with the usual dimensions, but still appears appropriately stable while maintaining its lower resilience. You shouldn't have high performance demands when buying the Tikki, but it is more of a leisure model for sea excursions or small tours on generally calm waters.

The small and short design, the low volume of only 202 liters and its single-layer construction, on the other hand, ensure an almost unbeatable light weight of only 6.5 kilograms. Great for small and light people in transport, but also in terms of manageability on the water. The dropstitch process makes it resilient and robust, even if the Tikki may appear a little more delicate overall.

Who is the Apollo Tikki SUP board suitable for?

Its compact construction makes the Apollo Tikki suitable for lightweight leisure stand up paddlers who are not looking for sporty performance in a SUP board. Its resilience is also very low, so that it is designed for users with a body weight of only 70 to 75 kilograms. Therefore it is excellent especially for women, but also teenagers and children. Due to its size, it can of course be maneuvered very well and transported extremely comfortably.

For a great paddling trip on the lake or leisurely little tours on calm waters, it is perfectly fine. The Apollo Tiki is also a great companion on a swimming excursion if you want to take a few relaxed paddles in between. It should not be heavily loaded, otherwise it threatens to sag.

Apollo Infinity Pro

About the Apollo Infinity Pro

With the Apollo Infinity Pro you choose a touring SUP board, which also comes with a great wood look. At 365 cm in length, the Infinity Pro is quite long and at 76 cm quite narrow, which, together with the pointed and upwardly curved nose (nose rocker) and the straight tail, makes it a fast board in its class. Tilting stability is not the focus of the Infinity Pro. This is really about the excellent gliding properties and the achievement of higher speeds on tours. Of course, this also benefits from its directional stability, which you need on longer trips in order not to tire too quickly. With the Infinity Pro you can do more paddle strokes on one side before you have to switch.

Of course, the quality of the Infinity is also right, as one is used to from Apollo. Double-layer construction and dropstitch processes promise high rigidity and durability. An impressive 320 liters volume also ensures a high load capacity with a weight of 12 kilograms that is still light.

Who is the Infinity Pro SUP Board suitable for?

If you don't have any experience in stand up paddling, it is better not to use the Infinity Pro as a beginner SUP board. This model is aimed at advanced SUP athletes or at least beginners who have already gained initial experience and ambitiously want to expand their progress. The Infinity Pro is a SUP board that is geared towards optimal performance over long distances. This is not a criterion for beginners. In addition, tall and heavier paddlers should take a look at the Infinity Pro. Its high load capacity is ideal for users up to 100 kilograms without affecting the driving characteristics.

Apollo Wood

About the Apollo Wood

At 300 x 76 x 15 cm, the Apollo Wood is one of the all-round boards with below-average length and width. Fortunately, the thickness of 15 cm is in the standard range and results in a solid volume. The shape (silhouette) with a wide, rounded nose is a clear characteristic of the board type, while the tail has a straight end.

The slightly narrower shape makes it easier to slide, as this shape offers less resistance to the water when paddling, but the length and width are still in a balanced relationship and lead to good stability against tipping. This silhouette is a good choice for small and easier beginners, as the board is easy to control thanks to its rounded outline and shortened length.

The built-in 2 + 1 fin setup with a removable center fin in the plug-in system is the dominant variant on all-round boards. In terms of versatility, it offers the best compromise between the various properties and is therefore ideally suited for a wide range of applications. The straight-line stability and directional stability, however, are not among the strengths of the setup.

The 1-layer outer shell (“single-layer board”) is one of the cheaper, light variants and is complemented by a woven fabric layer in the core. This manufacturing technique is called “drop stitch”. I will explain more details about the material and structure to you later.

Who is the Wood SUP board suitable for?

The Apollo is a versatile and fairly classic all-round board with compact dimensions and a trendy wood design. For beginners and occasional paddlers who are within the weight limit, the Apollo Wood is definitely a good choice.

It can be steered in an agile manner, offers good stability against tipping and, due to its light weight, is also a good family board; older children and young people can also use the board alone.
