Abstract

Description

  • The invention relates to a container with a child-proof locking device, with several operating devices to be operated simultaneously, these operating devices being attached to the outer surfaces perpendicular to the contact surface of the container in such a way that the mutual distance between the operating devices is greater than the possible span of a child's hand .
  • Such a container for child-safe accommodation of dangerous objects and products is known from G 87 01 558.7. This container (child-safe household box) consists of a cuboid base piece that receives the filling material, from which a round hole is cut out on three sides in the upper edge area and a lid hinged in the upper inner edge area of the base piece, from which a clasp on three sides is shaped in the form of a resilient tongue which, when the cover is recessed, ie closed, fits positively into the round holes of the base piece.
  • Due to the articulation of the lid in the inner upper edge area and the recessed closed position of the lid within the base piece, the cover must be relatively flat so that it can be turned out of the opening of the base piece when it is opened and is flush with the wall of the base piece when it is closed . Another disadvantage of this design is that, due to the flat design of the cover, the intended closures cannot be adequately attached. Furthermore, the lid cannot be designed and used as a filling space, so that only the bottom piece determines the filling space and thus the height of the container.
  • Due to the limited side dimensions of the container (maximum span of the hand of an adult), access and removal from it is severely restricted if the height of the container (base piece) is too great.
  • The invention is based on the object of developing the container in such a way that, using the child-proof locking device, the lid of the container forms part of the filling space and thus expands it, enables the closures (operating devices) to be attached to the outside of the container, as well as easy access and easy removal of the contents from the bottom piece is ensured.
  • The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
  • By using the lid as a filling space, the pivot point of the lid can be placed lower by the height of the lid, so that when the container is opened, it can be literally unfolded.
  • Due to the anatomically possible span of a child's hand and the span of an adult's hand, the side dimensions of the container are in a limited range. The anatomically possible span of the child's hand determines the lower limit and the span of an adult determines the upper limit of the distance between the two opposing closures (4, 5) and thus the side dimensions of the container.
  • A further embodiment of the invention consists in the fact that the lid is placed on the base of the container without articulation, only locked via the child-proof locking device. This design is particularly advantageous in the case of cylindrical containers.
  • The embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
    • Fig. 1 shows the container (child-safe box), consisting of a cuboid base piece (1) and a cover (2) which overlaps the base piece (1) in a partial area (3) and is rotatably hinged to this base piece.
A clasp in the form of resilient tongues (4, 5, 6) which fit positively into the round holes (7, 8, 9) of the cover (2) are formed from the sub-area (3) of the base piece (1). The ratio of the height of the cover to the height of the base is approximately 1: 2. The height of the cover (2) is approx. 5 cm, the height of the base is approx. 10 cm. The edge length of the bottom piece between the two opposing clasps (4.5) is approx. 10.5 cm. The side length between the rear wall (10) and the front wall (11) of the bottom piece is also 10.5 cm, but it can also be greater.

Claims (4)

1. Container with a child-proof locking device, with several operating devices to be operated simultaneously, these operating devices being attached to the outer surfaces perpendicular to the contact surface of the container in such a way that the mutual distance between the operating devices is greater than the possible span of a child's hand characterized in that the operating devices are formed as resilient, self-locking tongues (4,5,6) out of the base piece (1) or applied to it, that these operating devices are positively inserted into the openings (9,7,8) of the base piece (1 ) overlapping lid (2) fit, that the lid (2) itself is designed as part of the filling space, and that the base piece (1) and the lid (2) can be opened to improve accessibility around the pivot point (12), or that the cover (2) can be removed from the base piece (1).
2. Container according to claim 1, characterized gekennzeicnet that the linear distance between the two opposing operating devices (4,5) is not greater than about 15 cm, so that the hand of an adult, the two operating devices (4,5) with the thumb and can still reach with the index finger, hold the container on these two operating devices and operate it at the same time with sufficient trigger force.
3. Container according to claim 1, characterized in that at least the outer walls of the base piece (1), to increase the stability against deformation, are convex.
4. Container according to claim 1, characterized in that the container consists of a food-safe plastic.
