How to make Irish coffee

Irish Coffee

The Irish Coffee is a classic among the coffee beverages with a shot. The preparation of the recipe is exciting. Read why.

4 cl Irish whiskey
150 ml Coffee, strong, black
50 ml cream
3 BL Sugar, brown

Recipe preparation

  1. For the classic Irish Coffee first whip the cream until it is half stiff and prepare a very strong coffee.
  2. Then put the whiskey and sugar in an Irish coffee glass, stir well and then top up with the hot coffee.
  3. Add the cream over the back of a spoon. Carefully so that the cream does not mix with the liquid.
  4. Sprinkle the finished Irish Coffee with chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder.

Tips on the recipe

When whipping the cream, you can also add a little vanilla sugar.

In principle, you can only use a real Irish whiskey for a real Irish coffee. This comes in a slightly sweetened, strong coffee, garnished with a whipped cream.

Since a real Irish whiskey (such as Jameson, Kilbeggan, Midleton Very Rare, Paddy, Bushmills Black Bush, etc.) should also be used for Irish coffee, whiskey is also written and not whiskey, as in Scotland.
