What games do players play

The best board games to play alone in 2021

It is not always easy to find teammates and then bring them to the same table on the same evening. Fortunately, many games have special rules that make board games playable by one person. Some games have even been specially developed for one player (for example Friday or The Negotiator - we have created our own list for these games: The best games that you can only play alone).

Some games go a different way and contain a solo campaign or a so-called Automa opponent, which is controlled (semi-) automatically by special game rules (e.g. Scythe or flapping wings).

There are many solo games, for example from strategy board games for 1 person, card games for one, logic games for 1, solo dice games, single player board games with story and many other single player board games.

Do you want games with a different number of players?

You can play board games, card games and dice games with very different numbers of players - even alone. We have made many lists for each exact number of players and for varying numbers of players. You can find our "by number of players" lists below.
